Days 27-28: Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

The Tetons are unique mountains as they have no foothills.
You round a corner and they just smack you in the face!

Obligatory entrance sign photo!

These are posted on the picnic tables at all the campsites.  At this point we didn't have any bear repellent.  We went to Jackson and bought some the next day!  Jackson's a cute little ski town but I guess we didn't take any photos.

Swimming in Lake Jackson with the Tetons in the background.  The water was freezing!  We've been in the water long enough to stop hyperventilating so we could smile for the photo.

Crystal clear water...

Kipper doing his thing!

Sunset over the Tetons

Driving towards Yellowstone we passed incredible fields of wildflowers.  We've been told by locals that the area had double their usual snowfall this past winter so everything is green and blooming.
Takes your breath away.

Next: Yellowstone!
